Women's Christmas Coffee & Tea

Women's Christmas Coffee & Tea

Come and join us for our annual Ladies Christmas Coffee & Tea on December 8th at 10am-12pm.

We encourage you to take a break from your busy life and gather together with other women for a wonderful time of good food, great fellowship, some worship and a short message. It’s a great way to celebrate and get ready for the Christmas season!

We will be having an optional cookie exchange for those who would like to participate in it. (2 Doz.)

Each year, we try to support FRM’s Ladies Ministry in South Sudan, Uganda and Kenya: Rabuna Fi Store. Again, this year, we will have the store open for those who would like to check out what they have and possibly donate to this wonderful ministry. Their handcrafted necklaces, bookmarks, skirts, earrings, bracelets, purses, embellished pashminas (wraps), etc., make unique Christmas gifts and 100% of the proceeds (donations) go directly back to the women to continue their support and ministry. This is an income generating project so ladies in these areas are able to make money to feed their families & attend Bible studies.

This event will be held in the Church Sanctuary. Cost is $10.

If you would like to participate in helping with organizing this event, please contact Kelly Lancaster.

Go to the Upcoming Events Calendar to find other Women's Ministry events.

The cost is $10 per woman. All women are welcome!

Worldviews Conference - Session 3 - Ethics

Description: EVERYONE HAS A WORLDVIEW! Everyone has a worldview. It is how we see the world around us, and it is the filter we use for interacting with others. Our worldview is something that develops over our lifetime. It is formed by our upbringing, our environment, our experiences, our education, our religious beliefs, our culture, and everything else that touches our lives. Justin Alfred helps us to understand the different worldviews and how they impact our lives. Session 3 – Ethics Every group has an "ethical" standard based on their grid for truth, but even in a "religious" context, apart from Eternal Biblical Truth, that grid will in some way be based on the allowance certain aspects of human corruption to be justified, as we will see in Islam. On the other hand, for those groups whose ethical standard is based on "human reasoning" and perception, then what we see is a whole scale embrace of all types of sexual perversion as acceptable, and this is also seen in certain religious contexts, as with Islam and Mormonism. Indeed, in the Ancient Near East, all of the "gods" had the same human weaknesses as men, and the gods, consequently, were merely "deified men." However, what we will discover is that man-centered ethics always succumbs to compromise, and the compromise results in very self-destructive concepts.
