Biblical Worldview!

Aligning your view of the world with God's Word!

A Barna survey in 2019 found that only 6% of Christian have a biblical worldview. That means that 94% of Christians do not look at the things of the world in a manner that lines up with God's Word. That is not good! Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." This series of messages seeks to raise our awareness of our own worldview and then compare it to God's perfect Word.

Kingdom Character – Those Who Mourn! Matthew 5:4

Kingdom Character – Those Who Mourn! Matthew 5:4

Pastor Rick Lancaster continues a series in the gospel of Matthew: The Savior-King and His Kingdom. The Sermon on the Mount has been one of the most influential writings in human history. It opens with the Beatitudes – proverb-like statements that are rich with spiritual teaching. Rick opens the second of the beatitudes that addresses those who mourn. God certainly does comfort us when we mourn the loss of a loved one, but this beatitude goes much deeper than that. It is a key character trait of someone living in God’s Kingdom. Matthew’s gospel serves as a bridge between the Old and New Testaments. Matthew seeks to prove to the Jews that Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah. For those of us who are not Jews, Matthew helps us to see our Savior-King more clearly and through his gospel learn to live well in Christ’s kingdom today. Rick is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel French Valley in Murrieta, California. For more information about what is going on at Calvary Chapel French Valley, go to http://ccfv.life.
