Zechariah

A Glorious Future!

Zechariah is the longest of the Minor Prophets. This book is unique in that it contains more references to the End Times and the Messiah than virtually any other book in the Old Testament. In this marvelous book is a picture of the glorious future God has planned for the Jews. And because we are in Christ, Christians can learn a lot about the glorious future God has in store for them as well. And if we are open to it, a study of the future will help us to live a life that glorifies God today.

Christ in Death - Colossians 3:1-11

David Rushton continues a series in the book of Colossians: Christ in All. Paul illustrates a spiritual truth using the language of death and resurrection. In this section, we learn that believers die to the old man, they put off certain characteristics, as evidence of renewed life in Christ. Colossians, a letter from Paul to the church of Colossae, offers a beautiful picture of who Christ is. With the knowledge of Christ's preeminence, we are able to face the external pressures on our faith. Paul encourages the reader to put on the new man and to let the knowledge of this newness in Christ guide every aspect of our life.
