Get Involved: Proofreading Transcripts
Pastor Rick has begun work on writing a commentary on the book of Revelation based on the series that we are currently in. He is looking for some help proofreading the computer-generated transcripts. This volunteer will need a computer with speakers and internet access.
If you are one of those people who wants to help, but would rather do it ‘behind-the-scene’, this might be perfect for you. You can do it from home, and at any time, day or night.
Here is what will be needed. First, the audio file is uploaded to a transcription service, which transcribes the audio message into text in about 30 minutes. Your responsibility would be to listen to the audio and compare it to the text file and make corrections, so that the text file matches the audio file. Each message takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to proofread. Our goal is to proofread two of these messages per week.
This will help Pastor Rick to be able to focus on writing and editing. Your help will help us to get the word out to others. Thank you for praying about being a part of this exciting new project.
