Your worldview determines your behavior!

Worldview is the lens through which we view the world. All of our experiences in life go into building and shaping our worldview. Everyone has one but not every worldview is right. As believers, our highest goal in life ought to be to please God. To do that we must have a worldview that sees the world as He sees it. We know how God sees the world because He gave us His Word, the Bible to teach us about Himself.

Sadly, many professing Christians do not have a worldview that is aligned to the Word of God. And because their worldview is out of alignment, so is their life. A Barna poll in 2020 found that only 6% of people who claim to be Christians have a biblical worldview.

Without a biblical worldview it is likely that a person's worldview is more closely related to the worldview of the culture they find themselves in. Jesus spoke to His church about how He feels about being like the culture.

I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16 NKJV

A lukewarm church disgusts Jesus!

To be lukewarm is to be just like the culture - to have the same worldview as the culture. A biblical, Christ-honoring church is made up of people who are different than their culture - they are people with a biblical worldview.

Being fruitful and multiplying! Genesis 10:1-11:32

Being fruitful and multiplying! Genesis 10:1-11:32

Pastor Rick continues a verse-by-verse study through the book of Genesis. After the Flood God told Noah and his family to be fruitful and multiply – to fill the earth with people. Chapters 10 and 11 describe the nations that came from that and what God did when people rebelled His command to ‘go forth’. Genesis is the book of beginnings. Within the fifty chapters that make up this fascinating book of the Old Testament God exercises His creative power to bring the universe into existence by simply telling it to do so. Later we will see the creation of a special people with the calling of Abram. The Law is given later. Sadly, sin mars God’s ‘very good’ creation and so we also see the creation of a plan to redeem mankind back to the One True God. This very old book is very relevant to today. Rick is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel French Valley in Murrieta, California. For more information about what is going on at Calvary Chapel French Valley, go to http://ccfv.life.
