It is not hard to see that this world is a dark place. It can be hard to see the path to the best possible life with darkness all around us. Peter tells us in this text that God has given us light to see by; we have a spiritual flashlight. And if we will use it, we will be able to see clearly and stay steady on course to the best possible life.

In this message Peter tells us that God has given to us everything we need for this life and for godliness, and that He has made incredible promises to us. As Christians we know that faith is important. Without it we cannot please God and we cannot get into heaven. With faith in Christ, heaven is an absolute surety.
