We are looking for a new church home!

On Saturday, October 17, 2020 Calvary Chapel French Valley will mark its 16th anniversary. For almost 16 years we have been meeting in spaces where we are limited to when we can meet. We are thankful for every one of those locations and the people God introduced to the church through them. However, it has long been our desire to find a location where we can make it our own.

In March of this year as the COVID pandemic restrictions were going up, we sensed that God might be getting ready to do something. At the end of May when we decided to reopen the church, we were invited to meet at Hawk Ranch. And as beautiful as it is, it wasn’t going to work out long-term. And so, we started praying more fervently for God to show us what He was doing.

We may have found one!

On Sunday, the Board of Directors, some of our wives, and several other people looked at a possible space for the church to move into. It just happens to be right next door to where the old church office used to be on Sky Canyon Drive. The general consensus from everyone was that it would work very well for the church. There are a number of things that still need to happen before we are ready to make a decision.

Here's what you can do!

This post is to let you know what is going on. It is also a call for help. This is the most important move and decision that the church has ever made. With all our hearts, we want to do what God wants us to do. The Board and I ask you to join us in prayer. We don’t need to pray to make a decision, but if we want to make a decision that glorifies God, blesses others, and grows faith – we MUST pray! Here are the primary things you can be praying about:

First – God’s confirmation about what it is that He wants us to do. We believe that this move is, but more confirmation would be good.

Second – favor with the county. If some type of permits are required, that the process would be quick and simple.

Third – favor with the owner. The owner of the property we are looking at is a fellow believer (so is the agent). Pray that God would touch his heart favorably toward us and that we can come up with an agreement that blesses all parties.

Fourth – God’s provision. Thankfully, the space we are looking at does not require any significant improvements before we would be able to do church there. In fact, none are required! No move like this is without costs and our monthly expenses will go up. God has always been very gracious and moved His people to be generous, and we are very thankful. Pray that God would move on the hearts of His people to help us make this move.

This is a very exciting time for the church, and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do. If you are reading this, it is likely you are connected in some way to the CCFV family. We want you to be a part of what God is doing and right now the best thing you can do is pray!

Thank you.
